Student-Athletes Earn CRCA Honors

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass.- Junior Ellen Burr and three other student-athletes on the Boston College women’s rowing team earned awards from the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association, the CRCA announced on Tuesday.

Junior Ellen Burr captured New England All-Region Second Team honors and stood as one of four BC rowers to gain Scholar Athlete status.  This is the second consecutive season that Burr has taken home these accolades.

In addition to Burr, Alicia McKean, Maclaine Sisco and Kaitlyn Votta garnered Scholar Athlete recognition. In order to qualify as a Scholar Athlete, a student-athlete must be in at least her second year of eligibility, maintain a 3.5 cumulative GPA, and have raced in 75 percent of the team’s events.
