Rowing Novice Eight Earns Second at Foot of Charles

BOSTON, Mass. -
The Boston College rowing team competed at the annual Foot of the Charles, racing seven boats on Saturday, Nov. 12 on the team’s home course, the Charles River, to close out the fall season for BC.
The Eagles earned their highest finish of the day in the Novice Eight event, when BC’s freshmen “A” boat took second place out of 23 entries. The BC “B” boat placed sixth in the same race, finishing 36 seconds ahead of all other B boats in that category.
The BC boats in the Varsity Four event competed against some of the top teams in the country, with the BC "A" boat placing 13th place out of 43 boats. The other Eagles’ crews in this event finished 28th (B), 35th (D), 37th (C), and 43rd (E).
The entire Boston College team made great strides this fall and looks forward to racing again in the Spring.
