Rowing Finishes Fourth at ACC Championship

CLEMSON, S.C. - Boston College rowing finished with 27 points to take fourth place at the 2012 ACC Championship, hosted by Clemson, on Saturday, April 21 on Lake Hartwell. The Eagles finished ahead of North Carolina (18 points) and Miami (17 points), while Virginia captured its third-consecutive conference title.
BC's best result of the day came from the Second Varsity Eight. This crew, led by coxswain Lauren Beebe, finished the course in a time of 7:04.4, good for third place behind Virginia and Clemson.
The Eagles' Novice Eight boat earned fourth place with a time of 7:10.7, ahead of North Carolina.
Both the First Varsity Eight and Varsity Four boats took fifth place. The Varsity Eight turned in a time of 7:02.8 to finish ahead of North Carolina, while the Varsity Four navigated the course in 7:59.6 to place ahead of Miami.
