Phoebe Sturges enters her first year as a volunteer assistant coach with the women's rowing team in the 2013-14 season.

From 2008-2012, Sturges was a member of the women's rowing team at the University of New Hampshire. During her four years she was named Most Improved Rower in 2009, competed in Head of the Charles two consecutive years, and was a member of the V1 boat that received a bronze medal at the 2012 Club Nationals at Lake Lanier, Ga. Her V1 boat placed sixth at the 2010 Head of the Charles, which was a record best for UNH.

In addition to her work at Boston College, she also serves as the head coach for Maynard High School girls' JV basketball team.

Sturges graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 2012 with a Bachelor's degree in recreation management and policy and a minor in kinesiology.
