VILLANOVA, Penn. -- Despite running on a sore ankle, seven-time All-America Angie Graham (Pinkering, Ontario) finished second in the 3000 at the BIG EAST Track & Field Championships, securing a provisional qualifying spot for the NCAA Championships.

The 3000 was a strong event for the Eagles with senior Katherine White (Corinth, N.Y.) and sophomore Shannon Smith (Fairport, N.Y.) finishing sixth and seventh respectively. Smith also placed fourth in the 5000, while White finished 10th in the same event.

In the field events, the Eagles were led by junior Elizabeth MacDonald (Hopkinton, Mass.) who placed fifth in the hammer throw. Senior Anya Maurer (Ashland, Ore.) also placed fourth in the high jump.

Boston College finished 11th in the team standings, compiling 35.50 points.
