At the 2000 NCAA Championship, Maggie Guiney took 13th place, earning All-American honors and establishing herself as the second highest finisher for any Boston College runner....will continue to compete among the nation's finest.

Indoor Season>/b3> 1999-2000: Finished second at Harvard in the mile (5:02), tying best time...won the New England Cup prelims in the 3,000 meter (10:01.2) ...took third at the New England Championship in the 3,000 meter (9:54.87).

Outdoor Season

2000: Finished fourth at the New England Championship in the 3,000 meter (9:48.54)... took fifth in the 10,000 meter (37:31.80) at the BIG EAST Championship...participated in the Mount Sac Relays and the Penn Relays.

At Middletown South

Named second-team, All-State in cross country, indoor track and outdoor track...Earned first-team, All-Shore honors in all three running seasons...Was a member of Middletown South's National Scholastic Champion Distance Medley Relay team which also copped All-American honors...Won a state championship with the cross country team...Conference champion in the 3200M for both the indoor and outdoor seasons.


Born November 3, 1980...Enrolled in the Carroll School of Management and is undecided on a major...Played field hockey for three years at Middletown South before running cross country during her senior year...Her twin sister Cate also runs track and cross country at Boston College...Maggie and her sister are the only children of Jane and Neil Guiney.
