Ran 5th fastest time ever recorded for a high school female in the 1000m, time of 2:47.66...2-time Rhode Island State Cross Country Champion (2004, 2005)... Won 24 individual and/or relay Rhode Island State Championships while leading her 4 consecutive Rhode Island Indoor and Outdoor State Championships (2003, 2004, 2005, 2006)... Rhode Island Words Unlimited Schoolgirl Athlete of the Year 2004/2005, 2005/2006... Four consecutive selections as the Rhode Island Gatorade Female High School Track Athlete of the Year... Academically, Sam was a member of National Honors Society.
