Boston College women's lacrosse has released its 17-game 2013 spring schedule which includes six games against teams that made last year's NCAA Tournament, according to an announcement made by head coach Acacia Walker.
The Eagles will play three of last year's Final Four participants including defending national champion Northwestern (on March 6) and last year's runner-up, Syracuse (on March 27).
BC opens the season at Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass., on Feb. 16 at 12:00 p.m. before hosting Vanderbilt on Feb. 20 at 2:00 p.m. in the team's home opener. The Eagles will then travel to Ohio State (on Feb. 23) before returning to Newton to square off with Connecticut on Feb. 27.
The month of March features seven games for the Eagles beginning with their contest against 2012 NCAA champion Northwestern.
BC then plays five of its next seven games against Atlantic Coast Conference opponents. Boston College squares off with Virginia Tech (March 9), Maryland (March 16), North Carolina (March 23), Virginia (March 30), and Duke (April 6) in the ACC while also playing Boston University (March 20) and Syracuse during that stretch.
The Eagles conclude their regular season with five non-conference opponents - New Hampshire (April 10), Vermont (April 12), Brown (April 14), Harvard (April 17), and Canisius (April 20).
The 2013 ACC Championship held at Fetzer Field at the University of North Carolina begins with the quarterfinals on April 25 followed by the semifinals on April 26 and the championship game on April 28.
