Nov. 5, 2013
Chestnut Hill, Mass- Boston College women's lacrosse has released its 17-game 2014 spring schedule which features eight teams that made last year's NCAA Tournament.
"We are lucky to be able to compete against such strong teams this year," said head coach Acacia Walker. "Although we do not look beyond our first game against Notre Dame, every game will be a test of our mental strength and physical capabilities. I know the girls on the squad are looking forward to an extremely challenging schedule and it's up to all of us to make sure we prepare properly for each opponent."
The Eagles will play three of last year's Final Four participants including defending national champion North Carolina (March 22), runner-up Maryland (March 29) and Syracuse (Feb 26) who lost in the semi-finals.
Boston College opens the season in South Bend, Ind., in a conference match-up against Notre Dame on Feb. 15 before hosting the University of New Hampshire on Feb. 19 at 4 p.m. in the team's home opener. The Eagles will then host Ohio State on Feb. 22 at 1 p.m. and conference opponent Syracuse on Feb. 26 at 2 p.m.
The month of March features seven games beginning with UConn, who made an appearance in the 2013 NCAA Tournament on March 1 at 1 p.m.
The Eagles play five games in April in addition to playing host to the 2014 ACC Tournament on April 24 through April 27.
Boston College concludes their regular season with a rivalry match-up against Boston University on May 3 in Boston, Mass.
