Lacrosse Kicks Off Fall Season

Boston College lacrosse kicks off its fall season with the Harvard Melting Pot Tournament on Sunday, Sept. 29.
While in Cambridge BC will match up against Louisville (8:00 a.m.), Boston University (12:00 p.m.), Brown (2:00 p.m.), and Vermont (5:00 p.m.).
The tournament marks the first meeting between BC and Louisville.
Last season, BC defeated BU, 12-9. In the game, Mikaela Rix matched a career high of five goals. The Eagles also competed against Brown and Vermont last season. BC defeated Brown, 15-12 and Vermont, 12-6. In the last meeting against UVM, Moira Barry charted a season-high of four goals.
“We are so excited to be able to compete against other great teams this Sunday," said head coach Acacia Walker. "It's an opportunity for us to grow but also to see what kind of a product we can put on the field just two short weeks into the season. With the leadership we have, I am hoping for a strong day.”
The Eagles are back in action next weekend as they face off against Dartmouth on Sunday, Oct. 6. The Big Green knocked the Eagles out of the NCAA Tournament in the first round last spring. The game will be held at Westwood High School in Westwood, Mass.
