Chestnut Hill, MA - Boston College Head Lacrosse Coach, Acacia Walker, has announced the hiring of Alex Frank as an assistant coach.

"The women's lacrosse program will benefit greatly from Alex Frank joining the coaching staff," said Walker. "Alex was not only an incredible lacrosse player, but is a selfless leader. Her enthusiasm, dedication and knowledge of the game will help take our program to the next level.''

Frank, a native of Westwood, Mass., played at Northwestern University and led the Wildcats to three straight NCAA Championships. Frank was an IWLCA three-time All-American and two-time team captain. She is second all-time at Northwestern in career caused turnovers and fifth in draw controls. She recorded 57 career goals and 77 career points.

A 2012 graduate at Northwestern, Frank was also All-Academic Big Ten three consecutive years. She was also a 2012 NCAA Women of the Year nominee at Northwestern.

Prior to Northwestern, Frank led Westwood High School to state titles in 2005 and 2008. She finished her high school career with 264 goals and 159 assists. She was the 2008 Division 1 Player of the Year in Massachusetts and a three-time Eastern Mass. All-Star.
