CHESTNUT HILL, Mass.- Boston College juniors Mikaela Rix and Covie Stanwick have earned IWLCA First and Second Team All-American Honors, the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association announced on Tuesday.

Rix, a midfielder from Garden City, N.Y., also earned All-ACC and IWLCA All-Northeast Region accolades for the third consecutive season. She led the Eagles with 79 draw controls and 57 goals on the year and finished second in points (74) and caused turnovers (15).

Stanwick, an attacker from Baltimore, Md., also captured All-ACC and IWLCA All-Northeast Region honors for the third time. She led the squad in points (91) and assists (38) and finished second in goals with 53 on the season.

Both players helped the Eagles make their first-ever NCAA quarterfinal appearance and led the team to a 15-6 season, a program record.

The duo joined 19 other ACC student-athletes in receiving All-American recognition. The ACC's 21 All-Americans had the most selections of any conference in the nation.

The IWLCA will fete the national All-Americans at the IWLCA All-American banquet on June 7 at the Radisson Hotel Valley Forge in King Prussia, Pa.
