CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Sophomore Mikaela Rix has garnered WomensLax.com Player of the Week honors for her four-goal performance in Boston College's 10-9 win over No. 6/5 Duke on Saturday, the website announced today.

The Garden City, N.Y., native's four goals marked a game high and led the Eagles to their first win over the Blue Devils in program history. BC picked up its second win over a top-10 opponent in as many games and set a new school high for ACC wins in a season (3) with the victory.

A midfielder, Rix recorded all four of her goals in the first half to propel BC to a 7-5 halftime lead. She also won four draw controls in the game to help BC outdraw Duke, 14-7.

Rix currently ranks sixth in the ACC with 2.67 goals per game on 32 total goals while leading the Eagles with 39 draw controls and 21 ground balls.

Boston College returns to play at New Hampshire on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
