Stanwick Named Finalist for 2014 Preseason POY by ILWomen.com

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College lacrosse’s Covie Stanwick has been named one of six finalists for ILWomen.com’s 2014 preseason Player of the Year, announced this week by Inside Lacrosse’s Danielle Bernstein.   

Stanwick was one of the nation’s top scorers last season and serves as the Eagles’ leader on attack. The Baltimore, Md., product started all 20 games as a sophomore in 2013 and set BC’s single-season goals record with 65. She garnered All-ACC and ACC-All-Tournament team as well as IWLCA All-Northeast Region First Team and IWLCA All-America Second-Team accolades. This season, she has been named to the All-ACC Preseason Team.

This year, fans can cast their votes to determine the 2014 Player of the Year by visiting ILWomen.com.

The 2014 preseason Player of the Year finalist list includes a field of six candidates for the award which have been selected by ILWomen.com. The finalists are listed in alphabetical order by school.
