SUMMARY:

Junior Laura Korutz tallied five points on four goals and a assist to lead Umass- Amherst to 12-10 victory this evening.

Boston College Senior Danielle Wood scored back-to-back goals to open the scoring, however the Minutemen fought back scoring three unanswered goals to close out the half with the score tied 5-5.

Umass took the lead for good when Korutz netted her fourth goal with less than 10 minutes expired in the second half. The Eagles got to within one goal with just over two minutes remaining in the game, but were never able to tie the game.

Wood had five goals and senior's Maggie Berkery and Tina Margetis added two goals apiece for the Eagles.

Sophmore's Colleen Wales and Stephanie Pavlik both added two goals for Umass.

Freshman Melissa Cole stopped five shots for the Eagles and freshman Jen Nardi posted 19 saves for Umass.

The Eagles next host Duke University Sunday April 26 at Alumni Stadium.
