Women's Lacrosse Falls to Brown

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Senior Maggie Berkery posted three goals for the Eagles, but it was not enough as Brown University handed Boston College a 13-9 defeat. It was the Eagles' first defeat of the season.
With the score tied 5-5 at halftime, Brown posted four goals to start the second half, before the Eagles were able to answer on a goal by Carrie Everett.
Twenty-six seconds later the Eagles, Katie Gladchuk scored to make the score 9-7 in favor of Brown. However, the Eagles were never able to close the gap to less than two from that point on.
Raffaella Kalishman, netted the game-winner for Brown at 14:00 in the second half, powering Brown to the road win.
Freshman Melissa Cole posted 11 saves for the Eagles, while Becky Tavani stopped 10 shots for Brown.
The Eagles' next game will be March 24 at Boston University.
