AS A JUNIOR (2008)
Played in 17 games and started 11...made the switch from midfield to defense...scored one goal in the win over Holy Cross on April 19...picked up 20 ground balls, tying for fourth on the team...controlled 14 draws, including five at Boston University on March 26 and four at Fairfield on March 12...caused 12 turnovers...recorded a season-high three caused turnovers against St. Mary's (CA) on March 2 and Harvard on April 30.

Played in all 17 games, started three...recorded eight goals and three assists to total 11 points...notched a hat trick for a season-high three points against Fairfield on March 3...collected 13 ground balls...won nine draws, including four against Massachusetts on March 25...caused four turnovers.

Started 14 of 16 games played...played in every ACC match ...led all freshman in scoring...led the team with 31 goals...second on the team with 37 points...also collected six assists...scored the game-winning goals at Harvard on March 24 and against Holy Cross on April 19...tallied five goals against Connecticut on April 5 and four goals against Harvard and Massachusetts...picked up a team-high 37 ground balls...recorded four ground balls twice and three ground balls six times...registered 23 draw controls and nine caused turnovers...named to IWLCA All-Northeast Regional second team.

Played four years of varsity lacrosse at Hingham...named team MVP junior and senior years...leading scorer sophomore, junior and senior years...also earned team's Best Offensive Player Award sophomore, junior and senior year...named to the Boston Globe and Boston Herald All-Scholastic team...played varsity soccer, basketball and ice hockey...named captain of lacrosse and soccer teams...played for Lower New England Team Two at the US Lacrosse National Tournament...received Hingham High Athletic Hall of Fame scholarship award...also earned U.S. Marine Corps Outstanding Athlete scholarship award.

Born Dec. 10, 1986...Margot is the middle of Mike and Patti Spatola's five kids...sister Elizabeth graduated from BC in 2004 and Julie graduated from BC in 2006...father was a member of the first men's varsity lacrosse team at BC in 1970...enrolled in the Lynch School of Education as a human development major with a sociology minor.
