Alex Frank enters her third season in 2014-15 as an assistant coach with the Boston College women's lacrosse program. As either a player or coach she has participated in each of the last six NCAA Tournaments. She joined the coaching staff on July 12, 2012.

In her second season at assistant in 2014, Frank was an essential part of the coaching staff which led the Eagles to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament. During the 2014 season BC reached a national ranking as high as No. 4. She coached two players to IWLCA All-American honors and four to IWLCA All-Northwest Region honors. She assisted the program to a 15-6 overall record and a 3-4 ACC record.

In her first year as an assistant with the program in 2013, Frank helped guide the Eagles to their second-ever NCAA Tournament appearance and to school records for ACC wins in a season (3) and consecutive games won within a season (8). She aided BC in matching a program best for wins in a season (12) and in capturing its first-ever win over Duke.

Frank, a native of Westwood, Mass., played at Northwestern University from 2008-12 and led the Wildcats to three NCAA Championships in 2009, 2011, and 2012. Frank was a three-time IWLCA All-American and a two-time team captain at NU. She ranks second all-time at Northwestern in career caused turnovers and fifth in draw controls.

She recorded 57 goals and 77 points in her career. A 2012 graduate of Northwestern, Frank was also an All-Academic Big Ten selection for three consecutive years as well as a 2012 NCAA Women of the Year nominee.

Prior to NU, Frank led Westwood High School to state titles in 2005 and 2008. She won Massachusetts Division 1 Player of the Year in 2008 and gained Eastern Mass. All-Star recognition three times, finishing her high school career with 264 goals and 159 assists.
