Field and Boyles Earn Weekly Accolades

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College forward Emily Field earned Warrior Hockey Player of the Week honors and goaltender Corinne Boyles was named Hockey East Defensive player of the Week for their performances against Vermont and Northeastern over the weekend.
Field tallied six points (four goals and two assists) in the two weekend games. The Littleton, Mass. native scored two goals on Friday against Vermont, and added two goals and two assists against Northeastern on Sunday. The junior forward scored the first goal of each game, including a short-handed goal to open the game against Northeastern.
Boyles made 60 saves in the two games over the weekend and only allowed two goals, good for a 0.968 save percentage. The graduate student co-captain has now won three straight games in net. She now boasts a 7-2-0 record to go along with a 2.03 goals against average and a 0.924 save percentage on the season.
The Eagles (9-2-0, 5-1-0) are second in the Hockey East standings behind Boston University (9-1-1, 6-0-0) who won Hockey East Team of the Week after winning three league games over the past week.
BC will be back in action this weekend with two away games against Quinnipiac on Friday, Nov. 15 at 3 p.m. and Princeton on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 3 p.m.
