Schaus, Stack Gear Up for U.S. at 2011 Four Nations Cup

Chestnut Hill, Mass. – Boston College women’s ice hockey greats Molly Schaus and Kelli Stack will compete for the U.S. Women’s National Team at the 2011 Four Nations Cup beginning on Wednesday, Nov. 9 in Nyköping, Sweden at Stora Hallen Arena.
The United States opens the tournament against Sweden at 1 p.m. (EST). The Red, White and Blue meet Canada the following day a 9:30 a.m. The USWNT then rests one day in between its final skate versus Finland on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 10 a.m. The third place and championship games will take place on Sunday, Nov. 13 at 5:30 and 9 a.m., respectively.
Schaus is set to make her 32nd cap for the national team in her fourth Four Nations Cup. The Natick, Mass., native has a 14-10 record, with a 1.95 goals against average and 582 saves through 1,386 minutes. Entering the tournament, the goaltender resume also includes a .928 save percentage and five shutouts.
Stack will play in her 57th game and third Four Nations Cup for the United States. The forward from Brooklyn Heights, Ohio, led the U.S. with 12 points at the International Ice Hockey Federation 12 Nations Invitational Series this past summer. Stack has 18 goals and 29 assists entering the tournament.
