CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College senior Taylor Wasylk has earned Hockey East Association Player of the Week honors after scoring four points (2-2-4) and recording a +3 rating in the three games.

The Port Huron, Mich. native scored a short-handed goal, the game-winner, in the team's 4-3 home victory over Yale. Wasylk received a pass from teammate Haley Skarupa, skated left to right across the goal, made one move and lifted a backhanded shot off Yale goaltender Jamie Leonoff's glove and into the goal to give BC the 4-3 advantage.

Adding a goal and an assist in BC's 7-2 victory over Dartmouth on Sunday, Wasylk is now second on the team in points (7) and assists (4) through the team's first six games. She has registered a +8 rating on the season and leads the team with two game-winning goals.

In additional news on Monday, BC (5-1-0, 1-1-0 WHEA) dropped two spots in the USCHO.com poll to No. 4. The USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine weekly poll will be announced on Tuesday.

The Eagles travel to Syracuse, N.Y. to take on the Orange on Friday, Oct. 25 and will then have a week off before heading to Providence, R.I. to face off against the Friars on Friday, Nov. 1.
