Two Women's Ice Hockey Players To Skate For US at High Performance Camp
July 10, 2014
Chestnut Hill, Mass. -
Two incoming Boston College women's hockey players have been invited to represent the US at the 2014 IIHF Women's High Performance Camp at the Sports Institute in Finland next week. The camp provides 180 players born in 1996 from 18 nations with a training program that creates an environment for success as elite women's ice hockey players, both on and off the ice.
The Eagles will be represented by incoming freshman Megan Keller from Farmington Hills, Michigan and Toni Ann Miano from the Bronx, New York. Keller and Miano will be with the US contingent in Vierumaki, Finland from July 12-19.
Both players are schedule to arrive at the Heights in September to begin their first season competing for the Eagles.
Keller signed with the Eagles earlier in the year and was a member of the U-18 Women's National team this past season. Miano, who attended Maria Regina High School, also played for the U-18 Women's National team. She signed her letter of intent in a late signing period and will join the Eagles as a freshman next season.
