17 Hockey Players Earn All-Conference Academic Recognition

Seventeen Boston College hockey student-athletes - 11 women and six men - have earned 2011-12 Hockey East All-Academic Team honors, according to league announcements.

Three graduates - Kiera Kingston, Kristin Regan and Megan Shea - highlighted the recipients, earning "Distinguished Scholar" honors after concluding their collegiate careers as four-time All-Conference Academic team recipients. Juniors Corinne Boyles, Mary Restucci and Brooks Dyroff earned the honor for the third time in three seasons.

Kristina Brown, Emily Field, Erin Kickham, Jessica Martino, Emily Pfalzer and Jackie Young also each earned academic honors on the women's side. Brown and Martino are each two-time honorees.

Patrick Brown, Isaac MacLeod, Pat Mullane, Michael Sit and Patrick Wey each earned academic honors on the men's side. Brown, MacLeod and Wey are each two-time recipients.

To be eligible, each student-athlete achieved a grade-point average of 3.0 or better in each of the two academic periods during the 2011-12 season.
