Three Women's Hockey Players Selected As New England All-Stars

March 30, 2011

Boston - Boston College ice hockey forwards Kelli Stack and Mary Restuccia and goaltender Molly Schaus were named to the Division I New England All-Star team as announced by the New England Hockey Writers Association on Wednesday.

Stack was voted the New England Division I Player of the Year after leading Hockey East in points (56) and goals (34). The senior was one of three - the first-ever from BC - finalists for the Patty Kazmaier Award. The Second Team All-American scored two goals to help advance the Eagles to the Frozen Four for the second time in her tenure. The three-time Hockey East Player of the Year racked up 58 points this season and concluded her collegiate career as BC's all-time leading scorer (209).

Restuccia tabbed opposing sides for 39 points this season, including a Hockey East-leading 28 assists. The junior's single-season assist tally ranked third on BC's all-time list and garnered her recognition as a second team selection from Hockey East.

Schaus topped her own school wins record this season by going 24-5-4. She was selected as the All-America First Team goaltender. The senior boasted a save percentage of .942 and 1.45 goals against average to help guide BC to the Frozen Four. Schaus ended her tenure as an Eagle with numerous school records, including saves (3,428), GAA (1.81) and wins (125).
