CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Freshman Kristyn Capizzano was named Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week and Boston College was named Co-Team of the Week as announced by Hockey East on Monday.

Capizzano notched an assist on Dana Trivigno’s goal in the 3-1 loss at Clarkson in the NCAA Quarterfinals. The Oakville, Ontario native finished the season with 26 points (11 goals, 15 assists) in 37 games. She notched three power play goals and three game-winning goals in her first collegiate season. She ranks tied for ninth in the country with 0.70 points per game.

The Eagles finished the season tied for the best record in program history (27-7-3) that was set in 2013, and posted a school-best conference record of 18-2-1. Boston College captured its fifth Beanpot title, and first Hockey East regular season title in 2014.
