Boyles, Jackson Named Eagles of the Week

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Graduate student Corinne Boyles (women's ice hockey) and junior Lonnie Jackson (men's basketball) have been named Eagles of the Week for their performances last week.

Boyles stopped 91 of 95 shots (.958 save percentage) in three Hockey East games, going 2-0-1 to improve to 10-4-2 overall. The wins came against No. 8 Boston University and Northeastern, and the tie came against the Huskies. The Wheaton, Ill. product leads the conference in goals against average (1.83) and save percentage (.935).

Jackson led the Eagles with 17.5 points per game in two contests since Saturday. He shot 12-for-21 from the floor and 11-for-17 from beyond the arc. He hit five 3-pointers at Virginia Tech, including the game-winner with 27 seconds left. He also had six rebounds in that game. Jackson then hit six 3-pointers against #2 Syracuse and scored a team-high 18 points.

No. 7 Women's ice hockey (14-4-3, 9-1-1 WHEA) hosts Vermont in a pair of games this weekend while men's basketball (5-12, 1-3 ACC) travels to North Carolina on Saturday.
