The Boston College women's hockey team took home a definitive 4-1 win at Northeastern on Sunday, January 16 to collect two more Hockey East conference points. The Eagles had an explosive three goals in the third period to secure the win.
Kelli Stack lit the lamp for BC at 17:53 in the second period during a power play with assists from defensive duo Blake Bolden and Katelyn Kurth.
Mary Restuccia followed with a tally from Ashley Motherwell and Dru Burns at 7:08 in the final frame. Bolden put the puck between the pipes less than 30 seconds later at 7:41, assisted by Restuccia and Stack.
Northeastern responded with a shorthanded goal in the fifteenth minute but Burns and Melissa Bizzari fed Danielle Doherty a pass she was able to slip past Huskies' goaltender Florence Schelling at 15:38 to end the game with a 4-1 score.
Molly Schaus saved a season-high 31 shots for her fourth shutout of the season. The Eagles edged out the Huskies on scoring, 36-32.
