The Boston College golf team battled 38 degree temperature and winds at the 2014 ACC Women's Golf Championship at Sedgefield Country Club. The Eagles remained in last place but improved in day two action as they combined for a 309 on the day.

"The team did really well today after the slow start yesterday. The conditions continue to be challenging along with the greens drying out and quickening, '' said BC Head Coach Drew Keyser. "Cristina McQuiston had a great day shooting second lowest score of the day and third lowest of the tournament. Hopefully, the rain will hold off tomorrow so we can finish on a strong note."

Junior Cristina McQuiston shined for the Eagles. McQuiston putted well all day as she carded a one-under 70, becoming just the third golfer to notch a round of 1-under or better during this year's Championship.

Katia Joo shot a 76 on the second day and remains in 41st place.

The third and final round of the 2014 ACC Women's Golf Championship is scheduled to start at 8:30 a.m. Saturday's coverage of the 2014 ACC Women's Golf Championship will begin at 12:30 p.m. on TheACC.com.
