Women's Golf Finishes Fifth at Hoosier Fall Invitational

Florence, Ind. – The Boston College women’s golf team finished fifth out of 13 teams (922, +58) at the Hoosier Fall Invitational. The Eagles finished strong, jumping three places in the final round on Sunday to finish 10 strokes ahead of sixth place East Tennessee State.
Freshman Isabel Southard finished seventh overall (223, +7) and recorded a 72 on Sunday, which was the lowest final round score of the entire tournament field. The Sharon, Mass native leads the Eagles with a 74.80 average over 10 rounds of play. Cristina McQuiston (227, +11), Katia Joo (234, +18), Vinh-Hoa Ngo (238, +22), and Regan Simeone (255, +39) rounded out the top five for Boston College. Senior Kaela Klune competed as an individual and finished with a score of 260, +44 over three rounds.
Wisconsin took first place (894, +30) followed by Indiana (896, +32) and Minnesota (904, +40).
The Eagles will complete their fall schedule next Sunday at the FIU Pat Bradley Invitational in Sarasota, Fla.
