Women's Golf Finishes Ninth at the Golfweek Program Challenge

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -The Boston College women's golf team finished ninth out 12 teams (923, +71) at the Golfweek Program Challenge in Myrtle Beach, S.C. on Tuesday.
Junior Cristina McQuiston took the top spot for the Eagles and finished tied for 7th overall, shooting a 218, +5 over three rounds of play. Her score set the BC record for lowest 54-hole total. The previous record was 220, which had been accomplished four times. Classmate Katia Joo took second for BC and finished tied for 14th with a score of 221, +8. Freshman Christina Wang (233, +20) and junior Jennine Regan(253, +10) took the final two spots for the Eagles.
Campbell took first place in the invitational with a team score of 862, +10, while Jacksonville State (879, +27) took second and James Madison (883, +31) finished third.
The Eagles will compete next at the Golfweek Conference Challenge in Vail, Colo. on Sept. 23-25.
