Cristina McQuiston Finishes In 25th at the ACC Championships

It was the third day of unseasonable weather, as the ACC women's golfers had cold temperature, winds and rain came in the final day on Saturday at the 2014 2014 ACC Women's Golf Championship at Sedgefield Country Club. Boston College (959) finished last at the tournament, while Duke (862 won the event.

Day one co-leader Virginia (889) finished in second, while NC State (890) placed third and North Carolina (896) came home fourth. Notre Dame (905) and Miami (905) tied for fifth, followed by Florida State (908) and Wake Forest (919). Ninth place was split by Maryland (921) and Clemson (921), with Boston College (959) rounding out the field in 11th.

In the individual competition, junior Cristina McQuiston shot a 76 in the final round to place 25th while junior Katia Joo 39th as she shot a 77 in the third day. McQuiston shot a 83 to open the tournament but then shot a 70 on the second game to finish with a +16 for the tournament. Joo shot a +21 for the tournament with her tournament low 76 coming in the second day. Christina Wang placed 52 with a +29, while Lelesse Mocio was 54th and Regan Simeone finished in 55th.
