Eagles Tie for First at Spider Invitational

Southport, NC- The women's golf team finished tied for first out of 12 teams at the Spider Invitational. The team shot a combined 963, +99. The team's score of 312 in the first round was the daily low, while its scores of 328 and 323 were the daily leaders of the second and third rounds, respectively.

Katia Joo led the team and finished first out of 63 players with a score of 230, +14. She shot a daily low 76 in both the first and third rounds. Following her were teammates Cristina McQuiston and Eunice Yim who each shot a 246, +30 and tied for 15th overall. Carolyn Barbee and Kaela Klune both shot a 248, +32 and tied for 24th, rounding out the top five for the Eagles.

Charleston Southern finished tied with the Eagles for first (963, +99) while North Carolina Pembroke finished third (977, +113).

The Eagles will compete next at the William and Mary Invitational March 18.
