Women's Golf Competes at Kiawah Island Classic

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. - The Boston College women's golf team finished 15th out of 36 teams at the Kiawah Island Classic. The Eagles posted a team score of 933, +69 in three rounds of play at the invitational. Junior Katia Joo led the way for BC, tying for first overall out of 190 competitors.
Joo shot a 220, +4 to take the top spot for the Eagles. She played consistently throughout the tournament, with rounds of 72, 73 and 75. Following her was Cristina McQuiston who finished 28th overall with her score of 228, +12. Christina Wang took third on the team, shooting a 232, +4. Regan Simeone (253, +37) and Jennine Regan (267, +16) rounded out the top five for BC.
Kent State won the invitational with a team score of 892, +10. Penn State (906, +42) and High Point (907, +20) took second and third, respectively.
Joo tied for first with Kent State's Wad Phaewchimplee, who posted the best score in the final round with a 70.
Boston College will be back in action March 15-16 with the 3M Lady Jaguar Invitational.
