Field Hockey's Norris Earns Spot in Senior Game

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - Boston College senior midfielder Paige Norris was named to the 2013 Front Rush/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division I Senior Game, the organization announced on Thursday.
Norris will represent the No. 10 Eagles (12-5, 1-4 ACC) on Saturday, Nov. 23 at the Virginia Beach Sportsplex, along with 38 other student-athletes. Game time is set for 2:15 p.m. Six Atlantic Coast Conference student-athletes were selected to the senior roster.
"We are thrilled that Paige will represent Boston College at the senior all-star game," head coach Ainslee Lamb said. "This honor is a tribute to the hard work she has put in over her four years here. She deserves this opportunity and I know she will represent Boston College and our field hockey program extremely well."
The Victoria, B.C., native has played in 73 games in the Maroon and Gold, starting 72 of them. She is currently second on the team with seven assists and has nine total points on the year. She earned ACC Player of the Week accolades on Sept. 24 for tallying two assists in the win over then-No. 5 Syracuse, the second of which came on the go-ahead goal, and recorded a goal and an assist in the win over Providence two days later. As a junior, she registered six points on two goals and two assists. She earned NFHCA All-Northeast First-Team honors and played on Canada's U-21 National team in the summer. In her sophomore season, she led the team with nine assist and in her first year at the Heights, she scored four goals and had four assists, earning All-Northeast Regional Second-Team honors.
