Chestnut Hill, MA - Five Boston College field hockey players were named to the 2010 Atlantic Coast Conference Field Hockey All-ACC Academic Team, as announced today by Commissioner John Swofford.

Janna Anctil was named the 2010 ACC Field Hockey Scholar Athlete of the Year.

BC was represented by graduate Friderike Hauschildt, seniors Anctil and Kristine Stigas, and freshmen Paige Norris and Nicole Schuster. Anctil is a three-time honoree, and Stigas has been named to the team twice in her career.

To be eligible for All-ACC Academic Team consideration, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during her academic career.
