Norris, de Jager Named to All-ACC Academic Team

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Sophomore Paige Norris and graduate student Maike de Jagerwere named to the 2011 Atlantic Coast Conference Field Hockey All-ACC Academic Team, as announced on Feb. 22.

"Both Maike and Paige exemplify the ACC expectations for their student-athletes, and this award certainly supports their endeavors and accomplishments, both on the field and in the classroom," head coach Ainslee Lambsaid. "We are very proud that this honor has been bestowed on both of them and it certainly recognizes two standout student- athletes."

Norris, a two-time All-ACC Academic Team selection, is a native of Victoria, B.C. In 2011, she led the Eagles with nine assists.

de Jager, who hails from Amsterdam, Netherlands, joined the BC squad prior to the start of the 2011 season and registered 13 total points (6 goals, 1 assist) for the year.

To be eligible for All-ACC Academic Team consideration, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during her academic career.
