Boston College Defeats Rutgers, 4-1

Earns Berth in BIG EAST Tournament

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Junior Joy Ramsbotham (Melvin Village, N.H.) and senior Andrea Durko (Briarcliff, N.Y.) each scored two goals as Boston College defeated Rutgers, 4-1, at Alumni Stadium.

With the victory, the Eagles earn a berth in the BIG EAST Tournament, which will be held at BC's Alumni Stadium next weekend (Nov. 8-9).

The Eagles scored three times in the second half, including two by Durko in a 5:09 span, to earn the victory, their fourth consecutive on the season.

Juniors Anne Marie Ambros (Bridgeton, N.J.) and Janis Cornwell (Wolfeboro, N.H.) each added two assists for Boston College.

Boston College improves to 13-6, 3-2 in the BIG EAST. Rutgers drops to 12-7, 2-3 in league play.
