Boston College Blanks New Hampshire, 4-0
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Seniors Marion Fitzgerald
(Little Silver, N.J.) and Andrea Durko (Briarcliff, N.Y.) each
scored their team-leading tenth goal of the season as Boston
College defeated the University of New Hampshire, 4-0, at
Alumni Stadium.
The victory improves Boston College's overall record to 12-6,
8-1 at home. UNH drops to 9-9.
Juniors Anne Marie Ambros (Bridgeton, N.J.) and Janis Cornwell
(Wolfebor, N.H.) along with sophomore Julianne Marrone (Holden,
Mass.) all contributed two assists in the victory. Ambros leads
the Eagles with 18 assists on the season.
Freshman goalkeeper Stacy Chicaski (Northampton, Mass.)
recorded her fifth shutout of the season, stopping four UNH
shots. Amy Agulay (London, Ontario) had 17 saves for the
Wildcats.
Boston College will host BIG EAST rival Rutgers on Friday,
October 31 at 7:30 p.m. Both teams are 2-2 in league play.
The winner of Friday's game will earn a berth (the #4 seed) in
the 1997 BIG EAST Tournament, which will be held at Alumni
Stadium.
