Seven Eagles Named to National Academic Squad

The honor recognizes student-athletes with a cumulative 3.30 GPA or higher in the fall semester

Played in all 20 games, making 12 starts … tallied 10 points, recording four goals and two assists … took 27 shots on the year … tied for second on the team with two game-winning goals … fifth on the Eagles with 17 shots on goal … scored the game-tying goal in the 67th minute to send the contest into overtime in the 2-1 loss to Connecticut in the NCAA Tournament (11/16) …notched three points on the gamewinner and an assist in the 4-0 shutout of Longwood (10/13) … tallied the assist on the game-winning goal in the 3-1 victory at No. 20 New Hampshire (10/4) … scored in the 3-2 victory against Quinnipiac (9/5) and recorded the game-winning goal in the 5-4 win over Maine (9/3) … named to the Gladiator by SGI/NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad … earned the Athletics Director’s Award for Academic Achievement … named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll ... competed in USA Field Hockey’s National Championship over the summer.


Played in all 19 games, making 10 starts … scored four points on the year, tallying one goal and two assists … took 16 shots … scored in the 4-2 loss at Syracuse (10/21) … recorded two assists in the 6-2 victory against New Hampshire (10/14) … named to the NFHCA Academic Squad … earned the Athletics Director’s Award for Academic Achievement … named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll.

Ranked among the top scorers in league at Wyoming Valley West … helped lead squad to consecutive District 2 Class AAA titles … captained the team junior and senior seasons … three-time all-conference honoree … two-time Pennsylvania First-Team All-State selection … named to the 2012 All-America Mid-East Region First Team and the 2012 All-America Third Team … member of the PA Junior High Performance Squad in 2011 … competed with the U.S. U17 Junior National Team in 2011 … named to the U.S. U19 Junior National Team in 2012 and competed at the Futures Elite Championship before coming to campus.

Enrolled as a biology major in the College of Arts and Sciences … daughter of Carol and Ralph Hromisin … has two brothers, Scott and Brian.
