Varsity Club Hall of Fame Basketball Inductees

Chestnut Hill, Mass.- Former Boston College women's basketball standout Jessalyn Deveny '05 will be inducted into the Varsity Club Hall of Fame on Friday, October 4 at Conte Forum. The Class of 2013 will be recognized at halftime of Saturday's football game against Army on Saturday, October 5.

Deveny is one of eight other former student-athletes being inducted. She was a member of the first BC class to appear in an NCAA Tournament in each of her four years. She finished her career with 1,496 points, seventh on the all-time scorers list. A native of Westford, Mass., Deveny suffered a season-ending injury her senior season but she managed to averaged 17.2 points and 5.2 rebounds in 17 games. As a junior, Deveny was named the Most Outstanding Player Performer in the Eagles first-ever Big East Tournament Championship. All-Big East first-team honoree as a junior, Deveny played in 102 games and started 79 for the Eagles.

The other members of the Class of 2013 include Mike Cloud '99 (football), Stalin Colinet '97 (football), Dick Cremin '65 (football), Ken Hodge Jr. (ice hockey), Anne T. Kavanagh '81 (soccer), Chris Lambert '12 (baseball) and George Lermond '25 (track & field, cross country).
