Coach Johnson Takes on The Cold Water Challenge

Chestnut Hill, Mass. -

This morning Boston College women's basketball head coach Erik Johnson took on the Cold Water Challenge to help raise money for the Kay Yow Foundation.

Johnson was challenge by Colorado coach Linda Lappe yesterday and he completed his task this morning. Johnson's team dumped a ice cold bucket of water on him after their morning workout.

Johnson has now thrown the challenge out to Louisville head coach Jeff Walz, George Washington head coach Jonathan Tsipis, FSU head coach Sue Semrau and Maryland head coach Brenda Frese.

Here are the rule to the Cold Water Challenge.

RULES

  • All parties have 48 hours from the release to answer the challenge
  • Please use the hashtags: #Chillin4Charity and #Play4Kay

Head Coaches

  • Any coach that doesn't answer the challenge, owes the Kay Yow Foundation $250 -for each coach that answers the challenge, the original challenger will owe the Kay Yow Foundation $5


Assistant Coaches 

  • Any coach that does not answer the challenge will owe the Kay Yow Foundation $100 
  • For each coach that answers the challenge, each assistant will owe the Kay Yow Foundation $25 

Players 

  • Any player that does not answer the challenge will owe five hours of community service 
  • For each player that does answer the challenge, each Arizona player will owe two hours of community service 

Kay Yow Donation Information 

1. Make checks payable to: Kay Yow Cancer Fund and include the school and coach name in memo line. We are a 501c3 and any donation will receive a letter of acknowledgment that can be used for tax purposes.

2. Donate online at www.kayyow.com/donate and include in the comments section school and coach.

3. All donations will receive an acknowledgment letter that can be used for tax purposes.
