The Boston College women's basketball program has five former players currently overseas. Check in every week for updates on Carolyn Swords '11, Stefanie Murphy '11, Aja Parham '06, Brooke Queenan '06 and Kathrin Ress '07.
Carolyn Swords, Ceyhan Bld, Turkey
In its last four games since Feb. 26, Ceyhan Bld has gone 1-3, beating TED Ankara, and falling to Fenerbahce, Tarsus Bld, and Istanbul University ... Swords played 26 minutes and scored 12 points in the 72-49 win over TED Ankara ... Averaged 29 minutes per game and 20 points per game in the three most recent losses ... Is ranked second on the team in minutes and rebounds per game, averaging 28.7 and 8.2, respectively ... Leads the team in points with 17.0 per game and field goal percentage at 67.8 percent ... Ceyhan Bld will play again on March 16 again Samsun.
Stefanie Murphy, SBK Samorin, Slovkia
Samorin went 1-1 in its last two games, winning 66-55 over UNI Gyor and losing 80-67 to DKSK, respectively ... In the loss to DKSK, Murphy played 22 minutes, grabbed five rebounds, and scored 11 points on 5-for-14 shooting ... Samorin will play its next game against Murphy's first European team, PEAC-PECS on March 17.
Aja Parham, Cadi ICG Software, Spain
Cadi ICG is 2-0 in its last two games after beating Hondarribia-Irun 62-57 and Uni Girona and 71-52, respectively ... Averaged 27.5 minutes, 6.5 rebounds and 15.0 points in the last two games since February 23 ... Ranked third on the team in minutes, rebounds, and points per game, averaging 26.4 minutes, 4.3 rebounds, and 11.4 points on the season ... Cadi ICG has three more regular season games, and will play its next one against UNB Obenasa on March 16.
Kathrin Ress, Lucca, Italy
Scored eight points and grabbed four rebounds in 27 minutes of play in an 82-46 Lucca win over Pozzuoli ... Since joining the team after the holiday break, Ress has averaged 21.6 minutes, 3.7 rebounds, and 7.0 points per game ... Lucca has two more regular season games scheduled, and will play next on March 17 against Orvieto.
Brooke Queenan, Partizan, Serbia
In the final three games of the Partizan season, the team went 3-0, beating Vrsac 61-46, Vojvodina 94-72, and Radivoj Korac 70-45 ... Games against Vojvodina and Radivoj Korac were part of the Serbian post-season, and Partizan finished the season with both a semi-final and final win ... Averaged 22 minutes, 11.7 points and 4.6 rebounds through Partizan's last three games ... Played 36 minutes, grabbed nine rebounds and scored 14 points on March 3 against Radivoj Korac ... Ranks third on the team in minutes per game with 21.8, and second in rebounds and points per game, averaging 4.6 and 10.9 on the season ... Partizan went 20-0 in its league this season.
