Boston College's Nicole Boudreau was named to the 2012-13 All-ACC Women's Basketball Academic team. The Eagles rookie is one of four freshmen in the ACC to be named to the conference academic team.
The native of Andover, Mass., Boudreau started all 31 games and was fourth on the team in scoring with an 11.1 points per game average. An All-ACC freshman team honoree, Boudreau averaged a team-high 34.6 minutes per game and was second on the team and third in the ACC in three-pointers made during the regular season. She finished with 71 made three's, a new freshman record at BC.
The Eagles rookie was the third leading scorer among ACC freshman. She had a career-high 22 points against Holy Cross and an ACC career-high of 18 points against Florida State. In the Eagles final game against North Carolina, Boudreau made a career-high five three-pointers and finished with 15 points.
To be eligible for consideration for the academic squad, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.0 cumulative average during her academic career.
