Four Women's Soccer Players Named To All-ACC Academic Team

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - The Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) released the 2012 All-ACC Women's Soccer Academic Team on Friday and Boston College had four players named to the team - junior Zoe Lombard, sophomore Stephanie McCaffrey, freshman Madison Meehan and freshman McKenzie Meehan.
To be eligible for All-ACC Academic Team consideration, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during her academic career.
Lombard, a biology and premed major, has started in 42 games in the last two seasons on defense. She made her career debut in the 2010 ACC Tournament vs. Hofstra. She has two goals and three assists in four season.
McCaffrey, who is in the Carroll School of Management, was the Eagles second leading scorer this past season. She finished the year with 10 goals and seven assists for 27 points.
McKenzie Meehan, a freshman, was the Eagles third leading scorer. She finished her rookie campaign with nine goals for 18 points. She is currently playing with the US Women's Under-20 National Team.
Madison Meehan, a freshman, played in 11 games on defense.
