Boston College will be on the road for two straight ACC games this week. The Eagles (11-10, 2-5) will play at Pittsburgh (9-11, 1-5 ACC) on Thursday, Jan. 30 at 7 p.m. The game will air on ESPN3. The second game of the week will be at Virginia Tech on Sunday, Feb. 2 at 1 p.m.

• BC is coming off a tough home loss against Wake Forest. The Eagles held a 9-point second half lead and did not score a field goal in the final six minutes in a 56-50 loss at Conte Forum. Senior guard Kristen Doherty led the Eagles with 12 points, five rebounds and four assists. This was the Eagles third loss at home (8-3 at Conte Forum). The first two home losses were against No. 3 Stanford on Nov. 9 and No. 9 North Carolina on Jan. 19.

• Pittsburgh is coming off a home loss to No. 3 Duke, 111-67. Brianna Kiesel had 19 points, while Asia Logan chipped in with 17 points.


• Today's game is the 41th meeting between Boston College and Pittsburgh. The Eagles lead the overall series, 25-15.

• BC and Pitt have not played since the Eagles moved to the ACC. Prior to that the Eagles had won 13 consecutive games.

• The first meeting between BC and Pittsburgh took place on January 31, 1983 in the Roberts Center on the BC campus. Pittsburgh won the first four games between the two teams. Boston College then won eight straight games.
