To mark the 25th anniversary of Conte Forum, former student-athletes retell their favorite memories on the court and ice.

Carla Wegner Vicidomini (1986-91) was inducted into the Varsity Club Hall of Fame in 2001. At the time of her induction, she was BC's fifth all-time leading scorer in the program's history with 1,243 points. She also ranked fourth in career rebounds (643) and field goals made (502) and fifth in free throw attempts (385) and games played (112). She was a two-time All-BIG EAST Conference player and earned BIG EAST Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors as a senior.

"I believe it was December of 1989 (my senior season) and we were excited to be playing Stanford (then ranked very high in the nation). The Cardinal was led by was Jennifer Azzi, an explosive and talented point guard. Our game plan was to play disciplined and smart. Our BC team was well known for very strong defense and we played it exceptionally well that day. On offense, we slowed the game down and ran our plays, rarely taking a shot when there were more than 10 seconds on the clock.

"At halftime it was tied. By the game's end, we only lost by six points. Stanford won the National Championship in 1990 and the coach mentioned the game with Boston College as a model for her team at a time when they observed great offensive patience and attention to detail in an opponent.''
