Eagles Trounce St. John's, 74-54
JAMAICA, N.Y.--Five players scored in double figures to lead Boston College to a 74-54 win at St. John's on December 31. The Eagles jumped out to a 23-8 lead in the first 10 minutes of the game and Cal Bouchard's 12 points gave Boston College a 39-28 advantage at halftime. Boston College connected on six-of-eight three-point field goal attempts in the second half and had a 24-point lead with 5:40 remaining in the game. Andrijana Bedalov netted 14 points in the second half for St. John's, but the Eagles shot 48.3 percent and recorded the victory.
Bouchard finished with 17 points and junior forward Paula Bacso netted 12 points. Junior center Whintey Steele, senior guard Aimee McGuire, and freshman guard Danielle O'Banion each scored 11 points. Senior guard Kim Beezer pulled down a season-high nine rebounds and added a season-high six assists for the Eagles. Bedalov led St. John's with 18 points and six rebounds.
