BC Falls to Alabama in OT
Eagles Move to Consolation Game of Corestates Hawk Classic
PHILADELPHIA, Pa.--Boston College lost to Alabama, 79-70,in overtime, in the opening round of the Corestates Hawk Classic on December 28. The Eagles trailed 29-25 at halftime, but went on a 24-11 run and led the Crimson Tide, 49-40, with 10:50 remaining in regulation. Alabama battled back to tie the game at 60 at the end of regulation.
The Crimson Tide secured the victory when Leah Goss scored a three-point field goal and Pam Duncan followed with two three-pointers and a jumper to give Alabama a 71-62 lead with 2:49 left in overtime. Dominque Canty led the Crimson Tide with 28 points and 10 rebounds and Goss added 13. Cal Bouchard led Boston College with 20 points. Whitney Steele scored 19 points and Allison Booth added 11.
