CHARLOTTE AMALIE, U.S. Virgin Islands (AP) - Jessalyn Deveny had 25 points and eight rebounds to lead No. 18 Boston College over Oregon 64-47 Friday night in the Paradise Jam.

The game was close for the first seven minutes. Then the Eagles (3-0) went on a 16-7 run for the next six minutes of the half to take a 26-17 lead.

The Lady Ducks (1-3) closed the half with a 9-4 run of their own to cut the deficit to 30-26 at the half. Oregon got within three points at 35-32 with 15:41 left in the game, but the Eagles went on a 9-0 run in the next three and half minutes to take a 44-32.

The Eagles outrebounded the Lady Ducks 23-11 in the half and 40-23 for the game.

Becky Gottstein had 11 points for Boston College.

Catherine Kraayeveld had 12 points and nine rebounds to lead the Lady Ducks. Shaquala Williams had 11 points for the Lady Ducks.
