Kelly Kenny returns to the Boston College women's basketball staff for her third season, assuming the role of Director of Basketball Operations.

She is responsible for coordinating team travel and hotel accommodations, monitoring compliance logs, and serving as the liaison with several offices within the athletics department.

Kenny will serve as the liaison to the Fast Break Club, the team's booster organization, and is also responsible for coordinating the team's on-campus recruiting efforts, film exchange and assisting with the team's marketing and development efforts. In addition, she will coordinate all aspects of camps and clinics.

Kenny joins the BC staff after an extensive coaching career, which included stints at Michigan (2002-03) and Wisconsin (1998-2002). With extensive collegiate experience, Kenny most recently served as the Director of Basketball Operations for the Wolverines, where she handled all aspects of team travel, including schedules, reservations, accommodations, and budget. She also orchestrated the team's nutrition program and community service activities.

Prior to her duties at Michigan, Kenny was an assistant coach at Wisconsin, helping the Badgers to back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances (2001 and 2002) and the 2000 WNIT national title. In addition, she served as co-director for UW Women's Basketball Summer Camps and assisted with scouting, video analysis, and on-court coaching.

Kenny began her career as an assistant coach at Oakland (1983-86). She followed that with stints at several schools, including Eastern Michigan (1987-1991), Macomb Community College (1996-97), and Wayne State (1997-98). She also spent time coaching at the high school level.

Kenny earned a bachelor's degree in education from Oakland University (Rochester, Mich.) in 1983. While a player, she was a four-year starter and captain for the Pioneers. At point guard, she led the Pioneers to an NCAA Division II Final Four appearance in 1982. A prep all-state player at Henry Ford II, Kenny still holds the school marks in assists and steals.
